Description

The certificate for this activity is for NON-PHYSICIANS.

Prior research on risk factors for and development of pressure ulcers has focused primarily on medical/surgical patients. For this study, the authors evaluated risk factors for pressure ulcer formation among trauma patients. They categorized conditions that predict the occurrence of pressure ulcers. These risk factors lead to pressure ulcers regardless of nursing care, screening and preventive measures.
