The certificate for this activity is for NON-PHYSICIANS.In this CME article, the authors evaluate the effectiveness of psychoanalysis by conducting an extensive search of electronic databases supplemented by a manual search and personal contact with authors of unpublished studies. The authors then conduct a meta-analysis to determine pre-treatment to post-treatment change in patients. The authors conclude that psychoanalysis does effect change in patients, but caution that their results are tempered by several limitations.Purpose of Activity
